This piece originates from an award-winning oil painting, recognized with the ‘Premju Ġieħ l-Artiġjanat Malti 2023’ in the Modelling, Painting, and Sculpting category.
 
The painting draws inspiration from the artist’s solo exhibition, "Ghost Stories". In this evocative collection, Alfie invites us into the fragmented life of a ‘ghost’, a metaphor for someone trapped in procrastination. The narrative vividly portrays the isolation and numbness of existing without truly living, a personal purgatory where the passage of time feels suspended.
Set against the backdrop of a traditional Maltese house, these scenes were carefully crafted through photoshoots at the historic Casa Rocca Piccola in Valletta, featuring the artist's wife as the model.
